Rhode Island- Created after separation from Massachusetts. This colony affected the others because it had a major fishing and ship building industry and was also a place for people who though Massachusetts Bay Colony was too strict in government as well as religion. This allowed people that wanted religious freedom to come to Rhode Island
New York and New Jersey- These colonies are both known as the breadbasket colonies because they have many plantations with really fertile soil and provide food for the colonies. New York was where a lot of trade in the colonies was going on so people had religious tolerance. So people that wanted to be more focused on trade and religion and people that would like to farm would settle in these colonies.
Connecticut- The first constitution of the colonies was created in Connecticut known as the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut. It helped the colonies have an orderly government with consideration for what the people want. There was lawmaking and like laws on taxes and orders.
Massachusetts Bay Colony- Massachusetts had one of the first settlements in the colonies known as Plymouth colony. The settlers came in 1520 on a ship known as the Mayflower and Created a Mayflower Compact which was the first germ of government. Later on the higher class pilgrims came and dominated. Massachusetts affected Pennsylvania and Rhode Island which was created from the separation from Massachusetts due to over religious control. This colony would only be ideal for puritans to settle.
Virginia- The first English settlement in the colonies which started everything off was in Virginia known as Jamestown which failed at first because of swamps and diseases but succeeded due to Natives. Virginia exported agricultural products to the other colonies. People that want to grow tobacco and other cash crops would live here
Pennsylvania- Wiliam Penn made a place for Quakers and other Religions to live in. Was a place for people that needed religious freedom in the colonies to go to without too many puritans .
